Kentucky, here we come!

We are moving to Louisville, Kentucky! Steve got an amazing job that we couldn't pass up...it kind of just fell into our laps when we weren't looking for anything...and so we are going! He is going to be working for a company called George Fern who does expo stuff (conventions, events, etc.)...basically he will be the General Manager of a company kind of like Modern Display which he used to work for. It will be really different from the accounting that he is doing now and he is really excited about getting different experience and doing something new. He starts October 20th...we put our house up for sale today and Davis and I will stay here until it sells, unless it takes forever (which we are praying it won't!). We are so sad to leave our family and friends here in Salt Lake, but at the same time we are excited to have a new experience and to be able to live close to Keith and Jenny and Michelle and Christian (Steve's brother and sister and their families). I am glad that we went to visit the fam out there last fall because I really liked Louisville and it made me very open to wanting to live there when this opportunity came up. So, we are busy getting our house ready to sell and all of the fun craziness that comes with a move like this. We'll see how it all goes!

Is this kid cute, or what?!

I have not blogged for forever. I have just been really bad at taking pictures and haven't had much to put on here. Yesterday we went running and Davis wore his stylin glasses for the entire hour run (usually he won't leave glasses or a hat on for more than 3 seconds!). I just think he looks so handsome! He is getting so grown up. We got him some new fall clothes and he looks like such a big boy in his new pants and tennis shoes. I almost can't believe it is him!

We went to the state fair last night with our friends the Tukuafus. Of course, I forgot my camera! Hopefully I can get some pictures from Jen to post. I love that Davis is getting old enough to appreciate things more. He like seeing the animals, he kept yelling COW...MOOO. He really likes cows. He LOVED the huge yellow slide. You ride down it on potato sacks and go really really fast and it is really really big. He just laughed the entire way down and thought it was the best thing ever. He also enjoyed the ice cream-we all enjoyed the ice cream! Thanks to the Tukuafus for a great night out.

We are glad that Steve is hopefully done traveling for awhile. This last week he was home the entire week and we almost didn't know what to do with him here! He also got released from his calling as young mens president last week so he was even home on Wednesday night. It felt like we had lots of family time!

I just have to comment on how great the BYU game was yesterday against UCLA. You can't be sad about being ranked 11th in the coaches poll today. BCS here we come!

Blowing Bubbles

This video is so cute to me...we were blowing bubbles and Davis isn't so good at it but he sure tries hard! What a cutie!

Go Cougars!

Today marks the beginning of one of my favorite times of the year-BYU football season! I know you wouldn't guess it but I love football-okay mostly just BYU football! There is just nothing like football and fall weather and the excitement of school starting. I thought we looked okay today...too many turnovers, but at least we won the first game of the season which we haven't been able to do in a couple of years and Max Hall had a ton of yards. I just enjoyed the game immensely. I am so happy it is football season and there is a whole season of games to look forward to! Here we come BCS!

Davis knows his body parts!

Davis is talking so much and learning new words every day. He has pointed to lots of body parts when I would ask him where they are, but the other day he just started saying them all, too. It is so cute! He knows feet, too but ran away before I could get to them! (and please ignore the somewhat white trash onesie look...we had already been through a couple of outfits this day and I wasn't going to wash any more clothes!). Enjoy the video!

So You Think You Can Dance

I have been obsessed with So You Think You Can Dance this season (and the other seasons as well!)...it has been so great. Steve thinks it is ridiculous, but I just love watching dance and the show has so much variety and what can I say? I'm a huge fan. It takes me back to my dancing days. I am so sad that it ended this last week-I feel like I am losing a great friend! I am also sad that Katee didn't win because she was the best dancer. Okay, that is all about my 'ridiculous' favorite show!

Provo River Trail Half Marathon

I ran my last half marathon of the season today, the Provo River Trail Half Marathon and it was so beautiful. It is one of my favorite places to run and I miss living in Provo mostly because I don't get to run there anymore! We had to get up really really early and thanks to JulieKaye and Travis for letting us stay the night with them in Orem.

I ran most of the race with my cousin Rachel which was so fun to spend time with her (what a cutie!) and my Uncle Don ran it in 1 hour 25 minutes. Can you say is amazing?! He owns the Fleet Feet Store in American Fork so if anyone needs running shoes go see him! My time was 1hour 56 minutes, my personal best so far! If I look a little sick in these pictures, it's because I was! I had a stomache the whole time and after I finished the race, I started throwing up and I have yet to stop. I think I have the flu. At least it waited to start until after I was done running!
