Emery's Newborn Pictures
When Emery was about 2 weeks old, my beautiful friend Jamie took her pictures and I wanted to post some of my favorites (I know this is old news already!). They turned out amazing! Also, my lovely friend, Michele designed her birth announcement which turned out so cute!

The Cutest Kids I Know!
Come on, give me some credit! It did really well blogging for the first month and a half of the year! Things have just seemed so busy. Maybe it is the combination of being so tired I think I might die before this little girl sleeps through the night, feeling like everytime I start doing something it is time to feed her again and trying to keep up with the craziest 3 year old I know...and sometimes clean my house and even more rarely make dinner for my family! Well, there are all my excuses, and really I haven't taken many pictures to share...but I will post the few that I have!
As far as news goes on the Larsen front...let's see...Our stake was split today and we are now members of the Crestwood, Kentucky Stake. It is pretty exciting that we were big enough to create a new stake. Our bishop was called as the 2nd counselor in the stake presidency so we will be getting a new bishop. It will be interesting to see how the transition goes in a brand new stake. We are excited to be so close to our new stake center (it is about 7 minutes away from our house). Our meetings were presided by Elder Baxter, who really was amazing. We went to the adult session last night and he was the last speaker and it was the first time in a long time that I wish the meeting would have lasted longer. I really didn't want him to stop talking. He was incredible to listen to. I learned so much and the spirit was amazing.
I went back to work this last week. It wasn't too big of a deal since I only have 2 clients right now, so it is a whopping 2 hours a week! Hopefully I will be able to pick up a couple more clients in the next couple of weeks so I will have about 4-5 hours a week. For now it is nice to ease back into things slowly!
I can't think of much else besides that I am really really tired-oh, did I mention that already?!
I love this little boy's smile (see picture below). He really is the cutest thing every...when he isn't being so naughty I think to myself, how did a person with an educational background in behavioral therapy who works with children with behavioral and develpmental disorders end up with the worst behaved kid in the universe? It is seems that every thing I try to discipline or teach backfires on me and all I have to say is that this 3 year old really might be the end of me. I am getting some serious high blood pressure. However, this little smile is what gets me through the day. I love him...naughtiness and all. Oh, and if anyone has any potty training tricks for the most stubborn 3 year old ever, I will take them because at this rate he is going to be starting high school wearing a diaper. Fabulous. I really think I have tried everything. Anyway, Davis is loving his sister much more these days. He always wants to give her kisses and sometimes wants to hold her. He goes up to her and says 'you're so cute' and is even calling her a 'she' most of the time (for awhile, she was a he!) Oh, and a cute Davis story: the other day, Steve gave him a bath and he came running into my room with his hoodie towel on. "Mom, I'm all nakily (naked)", he throws off his towel, puts both hands up in the air and yells "Ta da"! It just cracked me up! He was so proud!
Our little leperchaun! Emery looked so cute in her little St. Patrick's Day dress. It made me smile all day!
This little girl loves her Daddy. He is always able to calm her down and put her right to sleep and I catch them cuddling like this all the time.

My New Best Friend
Alright, you already know that I LOVE cycling. Not the outside kind...I did enough of that on my mission to last me a lifetime. Somehow riding a bike with my skirt tucked into my knee-hi nylons so it wouldn't get stuck in the chain in REALLY HOT, REALLY HUMID weather with sweat running down my face (and other unmentionable areas) and wearing a super ugly helmet and being chased by mangy street dogs (although seeing my companion, Hermana Youngquist being chased by said dogs is a priceless memory I can never forget!!) for 6 months straight ruined my love of riding a bike outside. Anyway, I will stick to the inside, super calorie burning, best workout ever kind of cycling. I love it. We went to visit my brother and his lovely, personal trainer of a wife in December. Well, she has a spin bike at home and I thought I was in heaven getting to ride right in their living room every day I was there. Steve thought it was pretty great too and we have really been wanting to have some sort of in-home workout option (since we ran out of room on the moving truck when we came to Kentucky and left our super-ghetto craigslist treadmill in Utah). So, we decided to invest in this beauty:
I just have to say it is the best thing ever. It is so hard to get to the gym right now when I am getting no sleep and have a little baby and I can barely get through the day as it is! Anyway, being able to get up and walk downstairs and spin in my very own house...well, a dream come true! Steve built a stand for a TV yesterday and we cleaned out our storage room last week with new shelves (also a life changer going from piles of boxes and rubbermaids to organized shelves with everything labeled and I actually know where everything is!!) so now we have a lovely workout set up. Oh, happiness!!
I do realize I am a little crazy to write a long post about a bike, but what can I say? I'm excited!!

One Month Old!
Emery turned one month old last Friday...I can't believe she is a month already, but it seems like it has been a long time since she was born. Anyway, she had her 1 month appointment yesterday and she is getting big! Here are her stats:
8 lbs 14oz (36th percentile)
21 1/4 inches (54th percentile)
She gained 2 pounds since her last appointment, so that is pretty good. She is fattening right up! It will be interesting to see if she grows as quickly as Davis did...he has always been in the 95th percentile...hopefully she will be a little smaller! Not only is she growing, but she is getting cuter every day! She is getting onto somewhat of a schedule and I am crossing my fingers that she will sleep through the night in a couple of weeks. I remembered today that I am going back to work in a couple of weeks (I am going to work 1 afternoon a week) so I need to be giving her a bottle to make sure she will take one...she drank it right up, I guess food is good no matter how it is delivered!
Emery loves this chair but I think it is ugly, so I never want to take pictures of her in it...but she spends a lot of time in there! It vibrates and she thinks it is the best thing ever.
