Ivy Jane 4 months old

 This little Ivy girl is the sweetest most precious little girl.  She had her four month check up today and I told the Dr. that her only flaw is that she won't take a bottle (which makes it really difficult for me to go to work on Tuesdays:).  Other than that, she is seriously perfect.  So content, happy, smiley, sleeps amazing, etc etc!  Everyone in this house is completely smitten with her! 

Ivy's 4 months stats:

Weight:  13 lbs 13 oz (38th percentile)

Height:  24.3 inches (35th percentile)

She only cried for about 2 seconds after getting her immunizations (the kids were very worried about her shots and if she was going to be upset).  She is sleeping 10-12 hours at night and takes great naps during the day.  She is rolling onto her stomach and the last couple of days has rolled onto her back a couple of times.  She is drooling like crazy so I am guessing we have some teeth coming soon.  She does not like to be left alone...as long as she can watch what is going on, she is pretty content.  Her new favorite spot is the high chair in the kitchen.  I think she feels a part of things and likes to see what everyone is doing.  She smiles at everyone, but the most for her mom!  She is holding onto her blue eyes, so we are hoping they are here to stay.  Her Dad loves that at least one of the kids has blue eyes like him! 

Big Girls

Ivy looks so big sitting up in the Bumbo.  I can't believe she is getting so big.  Emery is all about the dress ups these days.  A girl in my ward has been babysitting the kids while I work since our regular babysitter had a baby.  Her daughter loves to dress up so Emery has been dressing up non stop (I get her dressed and ready in the morning and then she goes straight downstairs, undressed and finds a dress up to put on!  I don't know why I bother.  I do love the dress ups...she is starting to love princesses (almost as much as Dora:)                                                                            

Emery decided she wanted to potty train a couple of weeks ago.  She did amazing and had it all down-until we went on vacation :(  Now we are struggling, but hopefully we can get her back on track pretty quick.  We took the front off her bed so she could go potty at night.  This transition was a lot less painful than I thought it would be.  She is staying in bed really well and loves her big girl bed. 

Kentucky Derby Half Marathon

I ran the Kentucky Derby half marathon at the end of April with some of my best friends.  We had such a great time training and running the race together.  We met at a park that has a trail every Saturday morning and ran together.  It was so motivating to have friends to run with and to know they were going to be there so I had better get my butt out of bed and go run. I talked my friend Cynthia into running with us (she had stated several times how much she hates running before I convinced her!) and she did so great, especially for her first race ever.  It was so great to have her to run with.  I did a 10 mile race to help with my training at the end of March-8 weeks post baby and then the half marathon 12 weeks post baby.  It was a great kick start to getting back in shape and running off some of that baby fat!   I can't wait for the next race in Indianapolis in the fall.

Davis' Preschool Graduation

Davis graduated from preschool last Friday...we are going to have a kindergartner on our hands pretty soon.  He has LOVED school this year.  His teacher, Ms. Cindy was amazing and he had such a great class.  Of the 6 kids in his class, 4 were from our ward.  They had the best time together.  I am so glad that it worked out for him to go to school with them.  We were so sad to see the school year end.

Of course Emery had to get in on the action-I had a hard time getting her to leave Davis' classroom when we would drop the kids off in the mornings.  It was a fight every time.  She can't wait to go to school!

Spring Soccer 2012

Of course I forgot to bring my camera to any of Davis' soccer games this season, so here are some sad iphone pictures!  He played with Oldham County YMCA this season and his coach just by chance was LDS.  It was such a fun season-the first time he and Josh have played soccer together and they had a great time.  They both improved so much over the season and they both made several goals during the season.  By the last couple of games they had it figured out-Josh would hang out by the goal, Davis would pass the ball to him and he would kick it in for the goal.  Pretty, good I'd say!  Davis is so big compared to other kids his age-we really had to work on him keeping his hands down and not pushing when he was trying to get the ball.  Most of the kids were pushing, but since he is so big, when he pushed the kid would go flying.  He did push a couple of kids down and made a kid cry:(, but it really wasn't on purpose and he really worked on it after that and did much better!  He is really loving soccer and can't wait until fall season starts.

Cute Kids!!

This is just a post of some really cute kids!  I have been feeling overwhelmed lately...it is so hard to keep up on things and feel like I am spending enough time with my kids and really being a good mom.  Adding a third has been a huge adjustment.  It is so hard to take them all places-someone is always crying or running away and I get home feeling so stressed!!  Davis just finished preschool on Friday and the summer is here which makes me so nervous!  I love the structure that school gives our life and I am not sure how I am going to entertain all the kids all summer when it is so hard to go do things.  Hopefully we will all survive it.  All of that being said, I have been enjoying so much the kids and their antics.  They are all hilarious and I just find myself laughing half of the day because of the funny things they do and say.  

I had to document that Emery is eating a pepper (a vegetable!!) and hummus.  This is probably the first vegetable she has knowingly eaten since baby food.  It was a big day! 

Ivy loves her siblings but is always a little nervous with them in her face all the time!  Davis has been really sweet with her lately. 

Emery gives Ivy a lot of love...the love might be a little rough, but it is love all the same! 

This little girl has become the smiliest, happiest baby.  I just love to sit and talk to her and watch her smile, grin, and coo. 

Oh Emery...covering herself in chalk and rocking some awesome glasses.  She had already found a sharpie that day and colored her legs and her dress.  This girl never stops-I can't take my eyes off her for a minute!

Camping at Deam Lake

We went camping with some friends from our ward a few weeks ago at Deam Lake in Indiana.  We had a great time...until we tried to put Emery to bed.  Let's just say no one in our tent got much sleep.  Emery took a 5 hour nap the next day.  I think we will skip the sleeping in a tent thing for the foreseeable future!  It was so fun to be in such a beautiful place and spend time with great friends.  

Jed tried to make some popcorn over the fire-we all doubted that he could do it, but it actually turned out!
