Happy Anniversary to us!
5 years! I can't believe it has been that long but at the same time it feels like we have been married forever! (In a good way!) We had a nice night out to dinner downtown last weekend and walked down to see the bridges on the Ohio River. It was great to go out without any kids! We are looking forward to a 5 year anniversary vacation later this year. Happy Anniversary Steve! I love you more than I can say.
Emery Smiles!
Emery has gotten a lot more smiley recently, especially for me and especially after she eats and is full and happy. I love it! I could sit and watch her smile all day. The other morning I went to get her up and she was just smiling away. What a sweet girl. Here are a couple of cute pics I got of her the other day with her happy face!
Emery's Blessing
Emery's blessing was yesterday. We missed have our parents and other family that are far away with us, but it was a beautiful, special day. So fun to be able to celebrate Emery and what a special little girl she is. Steve did an amazing job blessing her. One of my friends commented that it almost sounded like a patriarchal blessing. It was really beautiful and made me even more excited for her and the wonderful life that she has to live. I feel so blessed to be her mom and have her be a part of our family.
These first two pictures were taken by my friend Kathryn. An amazing woman in my ward made her dress and I think it is just beautiful.
All tuckered after a long day with lots of attention! (Plust she loves her aunt Jenny who put her right to sleep).

Easter Festivities
We had a fun Easter. I am loving holidays even more now that Davis is getting the idea of them and gets so excited about things. This was Davis at our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. He was a little slower than the big kids, but found enough eggs to be happy with his loot.

I sort of forgot to color eggs with him, so we did it Easter morning while Dad made a super yummy breakfast. Better late than never. Davis wasn't so sure about actually eating boiled eggs. I guess it is an acquired taste!

The Cutest Kids I Know!
Come on, give me some credit! It did really well blogging for the first month and a half of the year! Things have just seemed so busy. Maybe it is the combination of being so tired I think I might die before this little girl sleeps through the night, feeling like everytime I start doing something it is time to feed her again and trying to keep up with the craziest 3 year old I know...and sometimes clean my house and even more rarely make dinner for my family! Well, there are all my excuses, and really I haven't taken many pictures to share...but I will post the few that I have!
As far as news goes on the Larsen front...let's see...Our stake was split today and we are now members of the Crestwood, Kentucky Stake. It is pretty exciting that we were big enough to create a new stake. Our bishop was called as the 2nd counselor in the stake presidency so we will be getting a new bishop. It will be interesting to see how the transition goes in a brand new stake. We are excited to be so close to our new stake center (it is about 7 minutes away from our house). Our meetings were presided by Elder Baxter, who really was amazing. We went to the adult session last night and he was the last speaker and it was the first time in a long time that I wish the meeting would have lasted longer. I really didn't want him to stop talking. He was incredible to listen to. I learned so much and the spirit was amazing.
I went back to work this last week. It wasn't too big of a deal since I only have 2 clients right now, so it is a whopping 2 hours a week! Hopefully I will be able to pick up a couple more clients in the next couple of weeks so I will have about 4-5 hours a week. For now it is nice to ease back into things slowly!
I can't think of much else besides that I am really really tired-oh, did I mention that already?!
I love this little boy's smile (see picture below). He really is the cutest thing every...when he isn't being so naughty I think to myself, how did a person with an educational background in behavioral therapy who works with children with behavioral and develpmental disorders end up with the worst behaved kid in the universe? It is seems that every thing I try to discipline or teach backfires on me and all I have to say is that this 3 year old really might be the end of me. I am getting some serious high blood pressure. However, this little smile is what gets me through the day. I love him...naughtiness and all. Oh, and if anyone has any potty training tricks for the most stubborn 3 year old ever, I will take them because at this rate he is going to be starting high school wearing a diaper. Fabulous. I really think I have tried everything. Anyway, Davis is loving his sister much more these days. He always wants to give her kisses and sometimes wants to hold her. He goes up to her and says 'you're so cute' and is even calling her a 'she' most of the time (for awhile, she was a he!) Oh, and a cute Davis story: the other day, Steve gave him a bath and he came running into my room with his hoodie towel on. "Mom, I'm all nakily (naked)", he throws off his towel, puts both hands up in the air and yells "Ta da"! It just cracked me up! He was so proud!
Our little leperchaun! Emery looked so cute in her little St. Patrick's Day dress. It made me smile all day!
This little girl loves her Daddy. He is always able to calm her down and put her right to sleep and I catch them cuddling like this all the time.
