Ivy's Birth Announcement

Here is Ivy's birth announcement...hopefully if you are reading this you got one in your mailbox! Also, we are blessing her on April 8th at 1pm so consider yourself invited! We would love to have anyone who can make it.

Ivy's Newborn Pictures (and an attempt at sibling pictures!)

I wanted to post Ivy's newborn pictures...we attempted to take some pictures of all 3 of the kids. Lets just say we weren't super successful! Some of them just make me laugh. It was a complete circus and it shows in the pictures!!

I love Emery's smile in this one but Ivy looked away:(

BYU Basketball

When we found out that BYU was coming to Louisville to play in an NCAA tournament game (especially after coming off of a win from a 22 point deficit against IONA) I was so excited...and then really bummed that tickets were so expensive. It isn't very often that you get to see your school play in a tournament game. We totally lucked out that Steve was able to get some tickets through work! Even though they lost and well, it wasn't really even close, it was so fun to get to see them. Of course, lots of people from our ward and stake were there and we got to sit by Jenny and the boys for part of the game, too. All I can say is that my husband is the best to find tickets for me and be a good sport about BYU...even if he did refuse to wear blue:) Don't let him fool you, he really does love BYU!

Spring!

Spring is in full swing here in Louisville...or maybe even Summer. It has been amazing weather the last week and a half. It snowed two weeks ago and now we are having summer like temperatures in the 80's in the middle of March. Crazy. I have to say it has been so nice to get outside and enjoy the outdoors. We love to take walks in our neighborhood and we had to document our first walk of the season.

On a side note...Emery has been into EVERYTHING...she can get into all of our cupboards and drawers that have child locks and there is no stopping her! Her hair looks so awesome in this picture because Steve found her with a tube of neosporin spreading in all in her hair, over her face and hands and she probably put it in her mouth, too (he was really worried she had eaten it). She has done the same with lotion, soap, aquafor, toothpaste, butt paste...I guess she has a thing for ointments! I think I have everything put out of her reach and somehow she ends up with it. What a crazy!

Basketball!

Davis finished up his first season of basketball a couple of weeks ago. He really like playing and it was especially fun because his cousin, Josh was on his same team. He also had an amazing coach, Coach Grimm. He made a lot of progress through the season, especially learning how to rebound. I liked basketball because the kids made a lot of shots and it didn't get my competitive juices going too much!!

Lately

The last three weeks have gone so quickly. We love having Miss Ivy here...it has been an adjustment for everyone for sure! Emery was horrible for a few days but is doing much better. She has found a whole new level of energy and wildness (I didn't know that was actually possible:) but is behaving much better than when Ivy first arrived! Davis has had a hard time in his own way, too. He has had an 'attitude' and hasn't been super obedient. We are working on it! He asked me the other day when he can get his own phone. I seriously feel like I have a mini teenager on my hands already.

This is what happens when Dad is in charge...he actually sent the kids to play outside looking like this. Hopefully no neighbors were out to see them! Aren't those the best outfits you have ever seen?


I tried to get a picture of Ivy the other day and this was all I could get! She has had a hard time during the day-wants to be held all day long and cries a lot if you put her down. She also has a hard time going to sleep. It has been better the last couple of days, thank goodness.



Valentines day was low key for us but Steve and I did get to go out to dinner since my mom was here and volunteered to watch the kids. Steve got me these amazing flowers and I am still enjoying them.
My little valentines...wow, Emery has some serious bed head from her nap!



My wonderful mom came to stay with us for a week and we loved every second of her being here. I wish she could have stayed for much much longer! The kids had a great time making valentines cookies with her among many other things that they did together!

I am still trying to figure out the 3 kid thing...we haven't left the house much but I have survived a week now on my own (since my mom went home). Steve has to go out of town for a few nights soon and I am pretty nervous about that...but we will make it! I have felt so blessed to have such amazing friends who have helped me with my kids and bringing us meals. It has made such a difference...thank you! I seriously have the most amazing people around me and have felt so much love from them.
