PS, she is almost walking...she can take about 5 to 6 steps. I haven't been able to catch it on camera yet-everytime I get it out she won't walk! In other news...well, I can't think of much...we have enjoyed BYU's run and Jimmer mania. It was sad to see it end this week but we have loved watching them (and actually getting the games out here on TV!!). Love those Cougars. Davis started playing soccer 2 weeks ago with his cousins Josh and Eva and has been super excited about it. That was until we were late last week and I think he felt embarrassed to go in after they had already started and he woud not go onto the field. After trying to convince him, threaten him and numerous other tactics, I finally got him to go after I walked all the way back to the car and told him we were never coming back if we left (yes, good parenting, I know. It was not my finest moment). He finally realized I was serious and went and played. Needless to say, we will not be late again. Ahhh, the finer moments of parenting. Steve is still working a lot, but got some people hired for his Atlanta office so hopefully that will help his workload lighten a little..one can hope, right?! I am just running alot. I feel like that is all I do these days! I have 4 more long runs until my marathon. Yesterday's run was 18 miles and it actually went really well so I am feeling encouraged that I might be able to pull this marathon thing off.

Tubes and Stuff
Little Miss Emery had to get tubes put in her ears on Friday. She has had ear infections for about 3 months straight and the antibiotics haven't even touched it. I was happy that she was able to get them and I think today she already seemed better than she has been. I was a little anxious about the whole thing-I know it is a really routine procedure but it is always scary to have your child go under anesthesia. She did great and didn't freak out after like everyone warned me she probably would so I was glad about that. She was a little trooper.

A few random pictures
So Steve has been traveling and super busy lately so the kids and I have been hanging out and enjoying our time together and praying for spring (the real spring, not just teasers)! Here are some random pictures as of late...
This is is what happens when a certain little girl doesn't want to learn how to walk so when we are at ChuckECheese and there is no way her mom is going to let her crawl on the disease infested floors she has to sit in the high chair the entire time. Lets just say I am ready for her to walk...
While Steve was gone this last week I built these book shelves all by myself!! It was my first 'building' project that I did without any help. Really proud of myself if you can't tell. Davis loves them and they are such a fun addition to his room.

Emery is obsessed with toothbrushes. No toothbrush is safe in this house. We still haven't replaced the drawer locks since our bathroom remodel and all she does is empty the drawers and find the toothbrushes. Gross I have to say.

Davis calls this a pillow party. He takes all of the pillows from the couches and surrounds Emery and her toys with them then they play in there. So cute to see them playing together.
Grandpa and Grandma Larsen visit and Jenny's birthday
Steve's parents came to visit good old Kentuckiana a couple of weeks ago and amazingly I did not get one shot of Grandma. I don't know how that happened. Hopefully she know that we love her anyway:)
It happened to be Jenny's birthday the same weekend so we had a little celebration with everyone. So fun to have so much of our family together. We are so blessed to live here!

Jazz Game!!
On Friday night we made a little trip to Indianapolis to see this guy play
(yes, that is Millsap, basically the only member of the Jazz left that I even know his name!)
Of course we were lucky enough to see the new coach of the Jazz, Ty Corbin have his first win as coach.
We got our tickets about 3 months ago. When Jerry Sloan left a few weeks ago we were so dissapointed. Then this last week when Darrin Williams was traded, we were extra dissapointed. It would happen the week that we were going to see them play. Thank goodness they won and it really was so fun to see the Jazz play again...even if we didn't know who most of the players were!
This was our Valentines present to each other...and I have to say that it was really nice to spend an evening with my amazing husband since he has been working so much lately and we haven't been able to spend much time together. Loved every second of it.
Jenny planned this outing for Keith's birthday and we were more than happy to help him celebrate!

My Valentines
I tried to get some valentines pictures of these crazies and it was not very successful. They are cute anyway. Davis came home from school last week and said 'mom, do you know who my valentine is? YOU!'. Yep, that melted my heart. Love him.
Davis got to go to a Valentines party with some of the cute kids from church.
All three of my Valentines. We had heart shaped pizzas, red jello and chocolate covered strawberries for dinner. About as creative as I could get.
Had to throw this one in...I can't open the dishwasher without Emery trying to climb in. Good thing she doesn't weigh very much.

Winter....blah...
I have been terrible at posting lately. I think it is because I have not taken one single picture besides Emery's birthday for over a month. This is mostly because we have not been doing anything picture worthy. I am so over winter. I've had enough and I want it done. It was like 20 degrees yesterday and Davis wanted to play outside. He doesn't even like playing outside. He thought it actually felt warm enough to play outside. How sad is that? But, the weatherman promised warmer weather starting tomorrow so I am going to have some faith in him and I can't wait! I'm supposed to be training for a marathon and somehow running 12 miles on a treadmill in the morning doesn't sound too great so I am hoping it is warm enough to go outside. We'll see because I am kind of a sissy about running in the cold...
Steve was traveling for most of the month of January so while he was gone I took on a huge project and started re-doing the kids bathroom and our master bathroom. Sadly I forgot to take before pictures but I will post some pictures when I am done decorating, hopefully this week. Poor Steve got home from his travels exhausted and with major work overload and I had our bathrooms completely torn apart and ready for his expertise to finish what I started! He is such a good sport at helping (aka making my vision come to life) me with my bright ideas for our house. I am really happy with how they turned out. I don't want to paint anything again for a long time (or at least a week or two!!).
So, that's all we've been up to. Trying to keep warm working away on bathrooms. Like I said, I am so over winter! If it ever gets warm enough to do anything fun again I might start posting pictures again!

The Pretty Lady Turns One
This little miss priss turned one year old yesterday. I won't go into how fast this year has gone, but it really has. I can't say much more than we just love her to pieces and really can't imagine our family without her. She is at such a fun stage right now...so sweet and smiley and loves everyone. She is working on her walking and loves to be 'walked' around the house or walk behind her little rolly walker thing. She says 'uh oh' when she drops something and follows Steve around saying Da Da and me around saying Ma. I am pretty sure she is saying Davis, too. (you all know I don't really care if she walks as long as she talks a lot!). She really is the sweetest most fun little girl. We are so glad that she is a part of our family and had so much fun celebrating her birthday today. (Yesterday was a super busy day so I told Davis her birthday was today and we celebrated all day!).
Her 12 months stats were: Weight 18 lbs 13 oz (15th percentile); Height 28 inches (18th percentile).
Kicking back with Daddy while the grown ups ate some dinner.
She showed a little more interest in opening presents than she did at Christmas but all the kids got so excited about it that I think she was a little overwhelmed...lets just say she got lots of help from her friends, cousins, and especially her brother!
This is only the second time that she has had sugar (the first was without my knowledge, thanks Jed!) so lets just say she really enjoyed her cupcake. She ate almost every bit!
