The Funeral Circus
Today we went to Steve's Great-Grandma Black's funeral. She died at the age of 93 and although I didn't know her well, it was great to hear about what a neat lady she was-at least what I got to hear of the service, since Davis was putting on the usual 'church circus'. I have been hating church the last few weeks because he is out of control-but seriously who can expect a one year old to to sit still and be quiet for 3 hours? The funeral was no exception, with the very best part being when I hear him hacking and look back and see the entire peanut butter sandwich I had just fed him thrown up all over the chapel floor. Mmmm. Fun to clean up and nice to have Davis pants-less for the rest of the funeral. I think he sees the church and thinks 'what can I do today to make my mom dad crazy?

I'm feeling your pain, but (and you'll hate me)finding it very hilarious. That would be something that would happen to me. I remember how hard that adjustment was when I had John of not being able to get anything out of church. Let me know if you find any amazing tricks.
I hope that there are some people at my funeral that choose to go pants-less as well. I think it would really lighten the mood, and you know I would get a kick out of it!
I keep hoping that stage will end for Max, but by the time it does, Aviva will be full force.
Church is never short enough with kids! Just think, in a couple of months, 2 hours of it will be spent with Davis in nursery. I have to laugh though; it's great when it happens to someone other than me!
Yep I can relate. I think boys express their church-fever more blatantly than girls, although Miranda did say in the foier today on the way back into the chapel, "Please don't take me back into that horrible place."
