Hard to believe, but I have never built a gingerbread house. I have always wanted to build one and my dream was finally fulfilled! Last week for FHE, we started a new Christmas-time tradition with the Moons and had a great time decking out our houses. Steve and I quickly realized that we sorely lacked experience as our house was clearly not up to par with the Moon's! I think we are going to have to practice up for next year!

Hey Summer, we have been doing the same thing. We just did it tonight in fact. When we lived in Virginia a friend had a gingerbread party. Families came over, kids decorated cookies, and then there was a contest between couples who could be the most creative. I have wanted to carry that on because it was so much fun, but I have realized the work in trying to make my own gingerbread cut outs. I did do it one year, but one of these years maybe we'll be lucky enough to do it together. Another note, your hair looks adorable! I like the cut. I hope you had fun at the party. We've got two GE parties this week - so fun!
